Responsibility
- Oversee and coordinate export and import shipment operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards.
- Manage cargo handling processes, including documentation, labeling, and storage, to prevent delays or damages.
- Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to resolve operational issues and optimize logistics.
- Monitor shipment tracking systems and provide real-time updates to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
- Train and supervise junior staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and analyze reports on shipment performance, identifying trends and areas for enhancement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in air freight operations, with a focus on export/import management.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and cargo handling best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with global partners.
- Proficient in logistics software and shipment tracking systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Leadership skills to mentor and guide junior team members effectively.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
