Responsibility
- Oversee and manage all air freight import and export operations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to facilitate smooth and timely shipments.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze freight performance metrics, providing reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and service providers to secure competitive pricing.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all shipments, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
- Resolve any operational issues or delays, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in air freight management, with a strong focus on import/export operations.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
