Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize CNC machining processes for aerospace components to meet precision and quality standards.
- Create and refine CAD/CAM programs for complex parts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in production.
- Develop and implement custom tooling solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities and reduce cycle times.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to improve process workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA, EASA) and internal quality protocols.
- Train and mentor technicians on best practices for CNC operation, tooling, and quality control.
- Evaluate and integrate new materials, technologies, and methodologies to enhance product performance and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, with expertise in CNC machining, CAD/CAM (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX).
- Proven track record in tooling design, process development, and lean manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and aerospace quality standards.
- Experience with FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
- Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and hands-on troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision-making tools.
