Responsibility
- Perform chemical cleaning, degreasing, and surface preparation of aircraft engine components using specialized solvents and equipment.
- Follow strict aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
- Inspect components pre- and post-cleaning to verify adherence to specifications and detect defects or contamination.
- Operate and maintain chemical cleaning machinery, including ultrasonic cleaners, spray washers, and vapor degreasers.
- Document all cleaning processes, test results, and deviations in accordance with regulatory and company procedures.
- Handle hazardous materials safely, including storage, disposal, and emergency response protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot cleaning-related issues and implement process improvements.
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines to minimize workplace risks.
Qualifications
- Diploma or vocational certification in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in chemical cleaning, surface treatment, or precision cleaning, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP) and quality control processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications.
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling (HAZMAT) and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English.
