Responsibility
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with municipal accounting standards.
- Process and reconcile daily transactions, including payments, receipts, and petty cash, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Prepare and submit financial reports, budgets, and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll, including calculating deductions, taxes, and benefits for municipal employees.
- Coordinate administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and document management, to support smooth office operations.
- Liaise with government agencies, vendors, and the public to provide information and resolve financial or administrative inquiries.
- Monitor and track municipal expenditures, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets and financial policies.
- Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications to auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Associate degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., bookkeeping) may be considered with equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative roles, preferably in a government or public sector environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare accurate reports.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with municipal or public sector financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail in handling sensitive financial information.
- Effective communication skills in English and Indonesian (written and verbal).
