Responsibility
- Install, maintain, and repair ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) systems in commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment, chillers, AHUs, and VRF systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in facility systems, including plumbing, fire protection, and building automation.
- Conduct routine inspections and generate technical reports on system efficiency, energy consumption, and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to upgrade or retrofit existing systems for improved energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime for critical facility operations.
- Adhere to local and international safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO) and maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.
- Provide technical training to junior staff or clients on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field. (NITEC/Higher NITEC in ACMV or Facility Management is a plus.)
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an ACMV Technician, HVAC Technician, or Facility Maintenance Technician.
- Strong knowledge of chillers, AHUs, VRF/VRV systems, and BMS (Building Management Systems).
- Familiarity with refrigeration cycles, electrical wiring, and PLC controls for HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Certifications in refrigerant handling (e.g., EPA 608) or local equivalents are advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work on-call or overtime as required for emergency repairs.
