In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end process of invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and financial reporting for a portfolio of strata properties. Your expertise will help maintain healthy cash flow, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely processing of all financial activities. Responsibility
- Process and manage accounts receivable including invoicing, payment allocations, and reconciliation for strata properties.
- Handle accounts payable functions, including vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and invoice verification.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, ensuring timely collections and minimizing bad debts.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports, including aging reports, cash flow statements, and budget variances.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and strata management regulations.
- Collaborate with property managers and stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB).
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certification is a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable, preferably in property management or strata services.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and GST compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle high-volume transactions.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal) for stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a BPO or shared services environment is highly advantageous.
