Responsibility
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts and related depreciation schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits related to fixed assets.
- Coordinate with various departments to track asset movements, disposals, and acquisitions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies regarding fixed assets.
- Prepare and process journal entries related to fixed asset transactions.
- Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the physical verification of fixed assets as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with fixed asset management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and fixed asset accounting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
