Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
- Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings, working closely with tax advisors and authorities.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in using accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks is preferred.
