Responsibility
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting to support financial planning and resource allocation.
- Process and verify financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings and other statutory reports.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an educational or public sector environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience with internal audits and compliance checks is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
