Responsibility
- Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure timely disbursement of salaries and benefits.
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other tax-related documents.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries and provide financial insights.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated with changes in Australian accounting standards and implement necessary adjustments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to Australian accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of Australian tax laws, BAS lodgment, and payroll processing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
- Certification such as CPA or CA (Australia) is a plus.
