Responsibility
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Plan, schedule, and execute patching and vulnerability remediation for Windows systems to mitigate risks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and software conflicts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT policies, compliance standards, and best practices.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, scripting, or other tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Document system configurations, changes, and incident resolutions for knowledge sharing and audit purposes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and junior team members as needed.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, security trends, and Windows Server technologies to ensure proactive system protection.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a Windows System Administrator, with a focus on patching and remediation.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
- Hands-on experience with patch management tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, or third-party solutions).
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including vulnerability assessment and risk mitigation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Security+, or similar are a plus.
