Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of Western dishes, including steaks, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, and breakfast items, according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared with high-quality ingredients and meet the restaurant's quality and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in placing orders for kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials based on customer feedback and trends.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold the restaurant's culinary standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a Western cuisine restaurant or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of Western cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and plating.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
