Responsibility
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, and milk-based drinks, with precision and consistency.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café workspace, including equipment, countertops, and customer areas.
- Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle transactions accurately.
- Assist in restocking supplies, such as coffee beans, syrups, and pastries, and monitor inventory levels.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Collaborate with the team to uphold Alchemist Works’ brand standards and service excellence.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and menu offerings to enhance your skills.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing role is a plus, but not required—training will be provided.
- Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn about specialty brewing methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours.
- Reliable, punctual, and available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (e.g., coffee bags).
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
