Our client, a prominent player in Indonesia’s natural resources sector, is seeking a Vice President of Operations & Business Development to spearhead their expansion in Bali (Badung region).
In this high-impact role, you will oversee end-to-end operations, optimize supply chain efficiency, and identify lucrative business opportunities to scale the company’s market presence. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with long-term business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.

Responsibility
- Lead and optimize end-to-end operations for the timah division, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market share, forge partnerships, and drive revenue growth.
- Oversee supply chain logistics, from procurement to distribution, to enhance operational agility and reduce lead times.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align operational goals with corporate vision and financial targets.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures in the timah sector.
- Implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor operational health and business development success.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and environmental standards in mining and processing operations.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team to foster innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the mining, metals, or natural resources sector.
- Proven track record in business development, strategic planning, and P&L management.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian mining regulations, export/import policies, and sustainability practices.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; proficiency in other regional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Badung, Bali or frequent travel to operational sites.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, innovate, and lead in a fast-paced environment.
