Responsibility
- Oversee the end-to-end US payroll tax process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Manage and implement payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual returns, for US-based clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve payroll tax discrepancies and issues.
- Develop and maintain payroll tax policies, procedures, and documentation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide expert guidance on US payroll tax matters to clients and internal teams, ensuring accurate and timely advice.
- Monitor changes in US tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on payroll processes and client obligations.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline payroll tax operations and reduce risk.
- Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in US payroll tax compliance, preferably in a Big 4 or multinational firm.
- In-depth knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment, with strong self-management and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
