Responsibility
- Conduct initial intake assessments for workers' compensation (WC) claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, and clients to gather and verify medical information.
- Document and maintain detailed records of intake processes, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Provide support to utilization management (UM) teams by reviewing and processing medical requests.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to WC claims, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
- Participate in onsite training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth claim processing.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements in all intake and documentation processes.
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse (PHRN or equivalent) with valid credentials.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in utilization management or workers' compensation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proficient in using healthcare management software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
