Cagayan State University is seeking a highly motivated and community-oriented University Extension Specialist III to join our team in the Ilocos Region. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between academic research and community development by implementing extension programs that foster socio-economic growth, technological transfer, and capacity building.

Responsibility
- Plan, implement, and monitor community extension programs and projects within the Ilocos Region.
- Coordinate with local government units (LGUs), NGOs, and private stakeholders to ensure the success of extension activities.
- Conduct needs assessments and impact evaluations to refine community engagement strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive project proposals, technical reports, and documentation for university and government audits.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for community beneficiaries to enhance their livelihoods and skills.
- Provide technical assistance to faculty researchers regarding the translation of research findings into extension modules.
- Represent the university in regional development council meetings and public advocacy events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Social Sciences, Development Communication, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
- Relevant experience in community extension, social development work, or project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse community groups.
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills for project documentation and report generation.
- Knowledge of government regulations, specifically CSC guidelines and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced academic or public service environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic data analysis tools.
- Civil Service Professional Eligibility (or equivalent PRB rating).
