Responsibility
- Manage and optimize daily transportation operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and load scheduling.
- Coordinate with internal teams, third-party logistics providers, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Monitor and analyze transportation costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international transportation regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation, such as on-time delivery rates and cost per shipment.
- Resolve any transportation-related issues or delays promptly to minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to align transportation strategies with inventory and production needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transport management, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms.
- Proficient in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with lean logistics principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
