Responsibility
- Process and manage trade finance documentation, including Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, and bank guarantees, ensuring compliance with UCP 600 and ISP98 standards.
- Conduct due diligence on clients and counterparties to assess credit risk and mitigate financial exposure.
- Collaborate with internal teams (legal, operations, compliance) to structure bespoke trade finance solutions for clients in commodities, energy, and manufacturing sectors.
- Monitor and report on transaction pipelines, ensuring timely execution and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and logistics providers to facilitate smooth trade flows and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare financial models and risk assessments for new trade finance products or market expansions.
- Stay updated on global trade regulations, sanctions, and compliance requirements (e.g., AML, KYC, OFAC).
- Provide training and support to junior team members on trade finance processes and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CDCS, CITF) are a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in trade finance, corporate banking, or financial services, with exposure to LCs, guarantees, and structured trade products.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, financial modeling) and trade finance software (e.g., Bolero, essDOCS, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages (Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia) are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setting with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and compliance.
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments and willingness to travel occasionally to Singapore or regional hubs.
