Responsibility
- Lead and manage the Global Customs Operations team, ensuring efficient and compliant customs processes for assigned countries.
- Oversee the migration of customs operations into the Manila GBS Customs team, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
- Develop and implement best practices for customs compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and legal, to align customs operations with business objectives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to team members to foster professional growth and development.
- Ensure adherence to local and international customs regulations, staying updated on changes in trade laws and policies.
- Act as a liaison between DSV and external stakeholders, including customs authorities, clients, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and risk management.
- Proven track record of leading teams and driving process improvements in a global environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with customs management software (e.g., SAP, Descartes).
- Certification in customs compliance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
