Responsibility
- Oversee the preparation, review, and reconciliation of all tax returns, including corporate, VAT, and withholding taxes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international regulations.
- Lead tax planning initiatives to optimize tax strategies, minimize liabilities, and support the company’s financial objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to gather necessary data and ensure seamless tax compliance.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, providing timely updates and recommendations to management to mitigate risks.
- Prepare and present tax reports to senior management, highlighting key insights, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities during audits, ensuring smooth and efficient resolution of any issues.
- Develop and implement tax-related policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and regulations, as well as international tax principles.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in reviewing tax documents and financial data.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
