Responsibility
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (corporate, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.) in compliance with Indonesian regulations.
- Assist in tax audits and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and addressing discrepancies.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to identify tax-saving opportunities and optimize client portfolios.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit trails and regulatory submissions.
- Provide on-the-job training and support to junior staff in unfamiliar tax areas.
- Liaise with clients and tax authorities to clarify requirements and resolve inquiries.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and implement adjustments to processes.
- Assist in payroll tax calculations and employee-related tax filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate setting.
- Proficiency in Indonesian tax software (e.g., e-SPT, DJP Online) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of Indonesian tax laws (PPh, PPN, etc.) and compliance procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal).
- Certification (e.g., Brevet A/B, CPA) is a plus.
