Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux-based servers and systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot CCTV systems, Video Management Systems (VMS), and IP cameras.
- Manage and optimize IP network infrastructure components relevant to surveillance and server operations, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security events, responding promptly to alerts and incidents.
- Provide expert technical support and resolution for system-related issues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors as needed.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in project planning and execution for new system deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices for all managed systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a System Engineer, Linux Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on proficiency with various Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and shell scripting (Bash, Python).
- Demonstrable experience with CCTV surveillance systems, including IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and VMS platforms.
- Solid understanding of IP networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP), routing, switching, VLANs, and network security principles.
- Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios) and log management.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
