Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to ensure cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and supplies.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance to maintain high-quality standards.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including forecasting, stock level monitoring, and demand planning to minimize shortages and excess stock.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements for enhanced operational performance.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, budget adherence, and cost-saving initiatives to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Lead cross-functional projects to optimize supply chain workflows and reduce lead times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems is a plus.
