The Municipal Government of Mogpog, Marinduque is seeking a dedicated and visionary Supervising Agriculturist to join our team in the Ilocos Region. As a Supervising Agriculturist, you will serve as a technical advisor to local farmers, coordinating closely with government agencies to implement policies that optimize crop production and livestock management. Responsibility
- Plan, direct, and oversee the implementation of municipal agricultural development programs and projects.
- Provide technical assistance and expert advice to farmers on modern crop production, pest management, and sustainable farming practices.
- Manage the operations of the Agricultural Office and supervise a team of field technicians and support staff.
- Monitor and evaluate agricultural productivity data to report on progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for local agricultural stakeholders to promote best practices.
- Collaborate with provincial and regional agricultural offices to align local efforts with national agricultural goals.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, budgets, and project proposals for municipal agricultural initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Agriculture or a related field; a Masterās degree is preferred.
- Relevant Professional License (RA 1080) for Agriculturist.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in agricultural extension work, research, or farm management.
- In-depth knowledge of current agricultural policies, organic farming standards, and climate-resilient technologies.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and resolve complex project challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with local farmers and government officials.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and agricultural database management.
