The Municipal Government of Pidigan, Abra is seeking a dedicated and proactive Agricultural Technologist to join our local government team. Responsibility
- Develop and implement local agricultural extension programs to improve crop yield and livestock productivity.
- Provide technical advice and training to local farmers on modern, sustainable farming techniques and pest management.
- Conduct regular field visits and monitor the growth and health of local agricultural products.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and technical reports for agricultural development initiatives.
- Facilitate the distribution of government-funded agricultural support, machinery, and resources.
- Coordinate with regional agricultural agencies to align municipal activities with national programs.
- Collect and analyze agricultural data to provide recommendations for local policy improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
- Eligibility: Career Service (Professional) or Board Eligibility (RA 1080 - Agriculturist).
- Strong knowledge of regional farming challenges, particularly in the Cordillera environment.
- Proficiency in data collection, reporting, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with local farming communities.
- Valid driverās license and willingness to perform field work in remote areas.
- High level of integrity and commitment to public service excellence.
