Responsibility
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on substation equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
- Inspect, test, and repair Overhead Contact System (OCS) components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Assist in conducting electrical tests, diagnostics, and fault-finding using specialized tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and KTMB-OSHE guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to implement 5S methodologies for workplace organization and efficiency.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform troubleshooting to minimize downtime in critical systems.
- Follow shift schedules and ensure seamless handover of tasks to incoming teams.
Qualifications
- Diploma or vocational certification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in substation or OCS maintenance, preferably in rail or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, switchgear, and protective relays.
- Familiarity with safety standards (KTMB-OSHE, PPE, LOTO) and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Physical fitness to work in outdoor, high-altitude, or confined spaces with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in shift-based schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
