Responsibility
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address studentsâ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement guidance programs, workshops, and activities that promote personal growth and well-being.
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments to identify studentsâ strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive network for student development.
- Monitor and track studentsâ progress, providing timely interventions and recommendations as needed.
- Maintain confidential records and documentation of counseling sessions and student assessments.
- Organize career guidance sessions to help students explore their interests and future pathways.
- Stay updated on best practices in school counseling and incorporate them into the schoolâs guidance framework.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field. Masterâs degree is a plus.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in school counseling, guidance, or a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with students, parents, and staff.
- Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques.
- Familiarity with child and adolescent development principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach to student support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data management systems.
