Responsibility
- Develop accurate and detailed structural models and drawings using Autodesk Revit, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards (AS/NZS) and project specifications.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and project managers to translate design concepts into technical documentation for commercial projects.
- Prepare and revise structural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details, for construction and fabrication purposes.
- Perform clash detection and coordination with other disciplines (e.g., MEP, architectural) to ensure seamless integration of structural elements.
- Review and interpret structural calculations, specifications, and design briefs to produce precise and constructible drawings.
- Ensure all drawings and models are up-to-date, well-organized, and adhere to company and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documentation, including shop drawings, schedules, and material take-offs.
- Provide technical support to project teams during the construction phase, addressing any design or documentation queries.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Structural Drafter or Revit Technician, with a focus on commercial projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (essential) and familiarity with other BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Navisworks) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards (AS/NZS) for structural design and documentation.
- Experience with structural steel, concrete, and timber detailing is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, error-free drawings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required.
