As a Steward Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our Stewarding Department, ensuring seamless coordination between housekeeping, kitchen, and front-of-house teams. Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the stewarding team, including dishwashing, pot washing, and general kitchen cleaning.
- Ensure all stewarding equipment, utensils, and storage areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and operational tools, and coordinate restocking as needed.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate stewarding staff to uphold hotel standards and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and F&B teams to ensure timely setup and breakdown of service areas for events and daily operations.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene protocols in compliance with local regulations and hotel policies.
- Assist in waste management and recycling programs to promote sustainability within the hotel.
- Prepare and submit daily reports on stewarding activities, incidents, and maintenance needs to management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a stewarding or housekeeping supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, food safety regulations, and best practices in stewarding operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with multiple departments.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and late shifts, to meet operational demands.
- Physical stamina to perform duties that may require standing, lifting, or moving heavy objects.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills for reporting.
- Fluency in English; additional proficiency in Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
