Responsibility
- Perform thorough decontamination of surgical instruments and medical equipment using approved chemical solutions and automated systems.
- Inspect, assemble, and package instruments and equipment according to standardized procedures to ensure sterility.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, to meet industry and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and document sterilization processes to ensure compliance with infection control policies and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory of sterile supplies.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to anticipate instrument needs and ensure timely availability of sterile supplies.
- Adhere to strict safety and hygiene protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay updated on best practices in sterile processing.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Nursing, Medical Technology, or related healthcare field; certification in sterile processing (e.g., CRCST) is a plus.
- Proven experience in central sterile supply, operating room, or infection control roles, preferably in a hospital or surgical center.
- In-depth knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex, multi-step procedures with precision.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle high-volume workloads efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Proficiency in using sterilization equipment and inventory management systems.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
