job description
Join Google as a Software Engineering Manager specializing in Cloud and Third-Party Platform Security and lead a high-impact team shaping the future of secure, scalable systems. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive innovation in cloud security, identify and mitigate risks across third-party integrations, and architect solutions that protect Google’s ecosystem at scale.
Based in the vibrant tech hubs of Bali (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or surrounding areas), you’ll collaborate with global security experts to harden cloud infrastructure, enforce zero-trust principles, and ensure compliance with the highest industry standards. This is a rare opportunity to combine technical leadership with strategic vision—bridging security, engineering, and product teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Google offers a dynamic work environment, unparalleled resources, and a culture that fosters growth. If you’re passionate about cloud security, threat modeling, and scalable systems, this role is your chance to make a lasting impact on one of the world’s most advanced tech platforms.
Responsibility
- Lead a cross-functional engineering team focused on cloud and third-party platform security, setting technical direction and priorities.
- Design and implement scalable security architectures for cloud services, APIs, and third-party integrations.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure, using threat modeling and risk assessment frameworks.
- Collaborate with product, legal, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to global security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Drive automation and tooling to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents in real time.
- Mentor engineers and foster a security-first culture through training, code reviews, and best practices.
- Partner with external vendors to assess and mitigate risks in third-party dependencies.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats in cloud computing and proactively adapt security strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in security-focused roles (cloud, infrastructure, or platform security).
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-scale environment.
- Deep expertise in cloud security (AWS, GCP, Azure), identity management (IAM), and zero-trust architectures.
- Hands-on experience with secure coding practices, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP) and risk management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to align security with business goals.
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevSecOps pipelines is a plus.
