Responsibility
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automated hardware systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on SMART automation equipment, adhering to Google's high standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues in automation and sustainment processes.
- Document maintenance activities, system performance, and incident reports for continuous improvement.
- Implement and test software updates, firmware patches, and hardware upgrades for automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and Google's operational guidelines.
- Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders on automation systems and best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address critical system issues outside of standard working hours.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated systems or industrial machinery.
- Strong understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, and industrial automation protocols.
- Familiarity with robotics, sensor technologies, and IoT devices in an operational environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to document processes and collaborate with global teams.
- Willingness to work in shifts or on-call as needed to support 24/7 operations.
