You will be the primary on-site authority for safety compliance, ensuring that all construction activities adhere to local regulations and our internal safety protocols. Responsibility
- Develop and implement comprehensive site safety plans and hazard mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular safety induction programs for all new employees, contractors, and site visitors.
- Monitor daily construction activities to ensure strict compliance with OSH regulations and site policies.
- Lead regular safety briefings and 'toolbox talks' to keep the workforce informed and alert.
- Perform thorough site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, and documentation for audits.
- Coordinate with management and regulatory bodies to ensure the site meets all safety certification standards.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Yellow Book (Site Safety Supervisor) certification issued by DOSH.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction site safety management.
- Deep understanding of OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967 regulations.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia to effectively train staff.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure during site inspections or emergencies.
- Proficiency in basic office software for reporting and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to safety hazards.
