Responsibility
- Lead and execute Shariah audit and non-audit engagements for the bank and its subsidiaries.
- Assess compliance with Shariah principles and regulatory requirements in financial operations.
- Develop and implement audit plans, risk assessments, and control evaluations.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance Shariah governance and risk management frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address audit findings and ensure corrective actions.
- Monitor emerging trends in Islamic finance and update audit methodologies accordingly.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to senior management.
- Mentor and guide junior audit team members in Shariah compliance practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Islamic Banking, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, or Shariah Audit Certification) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, with a focus on Shariah compliance in banking.
- In-depth knowledge of Islamic financial principles, AAOIFI standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in risk assessment, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or Arabic is a plus.
