Responsibility
- Prepare and review US federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
- Lead ASC 740 (Income Taxes) reporting, including calculating deferred tax assets and liabilities.
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax issues affecting the organization.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate financial statement disclosures related to taxes.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize financial performance.
- Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Stay updated on changes in US tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
- Mentor junior team members and provide training on tax compliance best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or EA certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in US tax compliance, with expertise in ASC 740 reporting.
- Proficient in tax software (e.g., CorpTax, OneSource, or similar) and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of IRS regulations, GAAP, and tax accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with multinational companies or remote teams is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
