Responsibility
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex IT infrastructure issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable systems and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for MSP clients.
- Lead the deployment and management of enterprise-level IT environments, including servers, networks, and security protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT strategies with business objectives and client needs.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, best practices, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Monitor system performance, proactively identify vulnerabilities, and implement preventive measures.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 2 years in an MSP or enterprise IT environment.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls) and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation and system management.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds) and ticketing systems (ConnectWise, Autotask).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
