Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of SaaS platform infrastructure, servers, and networks.
- Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Automate routine system administration tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) to improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across Linux/Windows environments, databases, and cloud services.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deploy, configure, and optimize system resources.
- Enforce security best practices, including patch management, access controls, and vulnerability assessments.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports for compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential system risks, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Administrator, with a focus on SaaS or cloud-based environments.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration, including user management, permissions, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security frameworks (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus) and logging systems (ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation and task scheduling.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex system issues.
