Responsibility
- Technical Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end data solutions on the Databricks platform, ensuring alignment with client business objectives.
- Customer Engagement: Partner with enterprise clients to understand their data challenges and propose innovative, scalable solutions.
- Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Build and demonstrate PoCs to showcase the value of Databricksâ capabilities in solving real-world problems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to refine messaging, gather feedback, and drive product adoption.
- Technical Training: Educate customers and internal teams on best practices for data engineering, machine learning, and analytics on Databricks.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines, ensuring optimal efficiency and scalability.
- Industry Insights: Stay ahead of trends in big data, AI, and cloud technologies to provide thought leadership to clients and stakeholders.
- Documentation: Create high-quality technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, implementation guides, and case studies.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales role, with a focus on big data, cloud computing, or AI/ML.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, or similar big data technologies. Proficiency in Python, Scala, or SQL is a plus.
- Cloud Platforms: Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, including data storage, compute, and analytics services.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer-Facing: Proven track record of managing customer relationships, conducting workshops, and delivering presentations.
- Education: Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications are highly desirable.
