Responsibility
- Design and develop end-to-end technical solutions for core banking domains, including cash management and trade finance systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, business, and operations) to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend system enhancements to improve efficiency, security, and user experience.
- Lead the evaluation and integration of new technologies, tools, and platforms to support Maybank’s digital transformation.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system workflows, data models, and API specifications.
- Provide expert guidance on system architecture, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in banking systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Mentor junior analysts and developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Analyst, Technical Analyst, or Systems Designer in the banking/financial sector.
- Proven expertise in core banking systems, particularly in cash management, trade finance, or payment processing.
- Strong proficiency in system analysis, UML modeling, SQL, and API integrations.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern banking technologies (e.g., blockchain, AI/ML) is advantageous.
- Certifications in banking systems (e.g., Temenos, FIS), project management (PMP), or ITIL are highly desirable.
