Responsibility
- Design, develop, and implement advanced PLC-based automation solutions for semiconductor manufacturing and smart factory systems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and data scientists to integrate PLC systems with IoT devices, sensors, and cloud platforms for real-time monitoring and control.
- Optimize existing automation processes to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance system reliability.
- Develop and maintain software for HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in PLC and automation systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and automation technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar platforms).
- Proficient in ladder logic, structured text, function block diagrams, and other PLC programming languages.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA development (e.g., WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Ignition).
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, and other industrial communication protocols.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT integration, and cloud-based automation solutions.
- Experience with semiconductor manufacturing or smart factory environments is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
