Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for ENGIE’s digital energy platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and UX designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and robust architectures.
- Implement and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) to support IoT, AI, and big data applications in the energy sector.
- Develop and integrate APIs, microservices, and data pipelines to enable seamless connectivity between energy systems and digital platforms.
- Ensure the security, compliance, and scalability of software systems through best practices in coding, testing, and deployment (CI/CD).
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime and enhance user experience.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, edge computing, machine learning) and evaluate their potential for energy innovation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on full-stack or backend development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), or Go, with experience in frameworks like Django, Spring Boot, or Express.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL), data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with IoT, AI/ML, or energy management systems is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for sustainable technology solutions.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote or hybrid team environment.
