Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for Google Pay & Wallet, ensuring high availability, low latency, and seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to define technical requirements and architect solutions for complex payment workflows (e.g., P2P transfers, merchant integrations, digital wallets).
- Optimize transaction processing systems for speed, security, and reliability, handling millions of requests per second.
- Implement fraud detection and security protocols to protect user data and financial transactions, leveraging machine learning and encryption technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in languages like Java, Go, or Python, adhering to Googleâs engineering best practices.
- Debug and resolve production issues in real-time, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance for end-users.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions to foster a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, or C++, with a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Experience building scalable, high-performance systems (e.g., payment gateways, transaction processing, or real-time APIs).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., encryption, OAuth, PCI-DSS compliance) and experience with fraud detection systems is a plus.
