Responsibility
- Coordinate and oversee all shipping, freight, and logistics operations, including air, sea, and land transportation.
- Manage import/export documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international customs regulations.
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to secure cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor shipment tracking, delivery schedules, and inventory levels to ensure on-time performance and minimize delays.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, customs issues, or delays proactively, providing solutions to maintain workflow continuity.
- Prepare and analyze logistics reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to align logistics activities with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping, logistics coordination, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or engineering sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, customs clearance, and Incoterms (2020).
- Proficient in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Freight Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and authorities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, forecast demand, and optimize logistics processes.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian or other Asian languages is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
