Responsibility
- Design, plan, and optimize RF networks (2G/3G/4G/5G) to ensure maximum coverage, capacity, and quality of service.
- Conduct drive tests, benchmarking, and KPI analysis to identify network performance gaps and propose solutions.
- Develop and implement frequency planning, cell site configurations, and parameter tuning to enhance network efficiency.
- Collaborate with RAN, Core, and Transmission teams to resolve interference, congestion, and coverage issues.
- Utilize RF planning tools (e.g., Atoll, Mentum, iBwave) and performance monitoring platforms (e.g., Ericsson ENM, Huawei U2000) for network modeling and optimization.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders based on data-driven insights.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies (e.g., 5G, Massive MIMO, mmWave) and industry best practices to future-proof network infrastructure.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and support teams on RF principles and optimization techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in RF Planning, Optimization, or RAN Engineering for mobile networks (2G/3G/4G/5G).
- Proficiency in RF planning and optimization tools (e.g., Atoll, Mentum, iBwave, MapInfo, Google Earth).
- Strong understanding of radio propagation, antenna systems, frequency allocation, and interference management.
- Experience with drive testing tools (e.g., TEMS, XCAL, Nemo) and KPI analysis (e.g., RSRP, SINR, throughput, drop calls).
- Familiarity with vendor-specific equipment (Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, ZTE) and OSS/BSS systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work in multicultural teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site surveys, audits, or project deployments (if required).
