Responsibility
- Serve as the primary technical and functional advisor for travel agency partners, providing expert guidance on Sabre GDS platform capabilities, integrations, and best practices.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with clients to identify pain points and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Design, configure, and implement customized GDS solutions to streamline booking, inventory management, and reporting for travel agencies.
- Collaborate with product development teams to advocate for feature enhancements based on client feedback and market trends.
- Conduct training and workshops for travel agency staff on Sabre’s tools, ensuring high adoption and proficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing root-cause analysis and actionable recommendations to resolve system or workflow inefficiencies.
- Develop documentation, playbooks, and knowledge bases to standardize processes and improve self-service capabilities for clients.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in travel technology, GDS advancements, and competitive landscapes to position Sabre as a thought leader.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in travel technology are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a technical consulting, product management, or solutions architecture role, preferably within the travel or hospitality industry.
- Deep understanding of Global Distribution Systems (GDS), particularly Sabre, Amadeus, or Travelport, with hands-on experience in system configurations.
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders, including C-level executives.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex system or workflow challenges in a client-facing environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to lead workshops and training sessions.
- Experience with API integrations, data analytics, or CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20%) to client sites across Southeast Asia.
