Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC machining processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies.
- Conduct time and motion studies to enhance workflow and reduce cycle times in machining operations.
- Oversee the selection, setup, and calibration of CNC machinery, tools, and fixtures to meet precision standards.
- Train and mentor operators and technicians on best practices for CNC machining and process adherence.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma) in all manufacturing processes.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for defects or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC machining, process engineering, or related fields (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial engineering).
- Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Strong knowledge of machining processes (milling, turning, grinding) and tooling materials.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S).
- Familiarity with quality control tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA) and metrology equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
