Responsibility
- Prepare, review, and analyze moderate to complex payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with local and international payroll tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external auditors to resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
- Develop and maintain payroll accounting processes, including month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Generate accurate financial reports and provide insights on payroll trends and variances.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll accounting.
- Train and mentor junior team members on payroll accounting best practices.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations for payroll transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, GAAP, and IFRS.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with multi-country payroll processing is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Certification such as CPA, CPP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
