Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of sustainable packaging solutions for Vinda’s SEA product portfolio, ensuring compliance with regional and global standards.
- Collaborate with R&D, procurement, and manufacturing teams to optimize packaging materials, structures, and processes for cost efficiency and performance.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate packaging designs for durability, functionality, and consumer appeal.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce material waste, enhance recyclability, and minimize environmental impact.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with packaging suppliers to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in packaging to ensure Vinda remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Develop and maintain packaging specifications, technical drawings, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical support to production teams to resolve packaging-related issues and ensure seamless scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging development, preferably in the FMCG, hygiene, or personal care industry.
- Proven expertise in sustainable packaging materials (e.g., biodegradable, recyclable, or compostable solutions) and life cycle assessment (LCA).
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks) and packaging testing tools.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with ISO, ASTM, and regional packaging regulations (e.g., SNI for Indonesia).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is an advantage.
